What to check in a free app
Not every free time tracker is really free. Check these points in particular:
- Does the plan stay free, or does a trial end after a few days?
- Is the app financed by advertising or by selling data?
- Under which law is your data processed?
- Can you export your data and take it with you at any time?
- Is the app made for Switzerland, with Swiss languages, francs and labour law?
Free, with no catch
Zytbox is free for individuals, permanently. There are no ads, your data is not shared for advertising, and processing follows the Swiss Data Protection Act. Zytbox is developed and operated in Switzerland.
When your team joins
As soon as several people track time, you switch to a team plan. Starter costs CHF 9.90 per user per month and adds team management, overtime tracking and shift planning. Pro costs CHF 14.90 per user per month and adds projects, tasks, all reports and clocking in with terminals, keycards and NFC plates. Paying yearly saves around 20 percent.
